UCSD GPA Calculation Formula
UCSD uses a 4.0 scale with specific grade point values. Pass/No Pass courses are excluded from GPA calculations but count toward degree progress requirements.

Academic Standing & Honors
- Good Standing: Maintain 2.0+ cumulative GPA
- Academic Probation: Below 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Dean's List: 3.5+ GPA with 12+ letter-graded credits per quarter
- Cum Laude: 3.5-3.69 cumulative GPA at graduation
- Magna Cum Laude: 3.7-3.89 cumulative GPA at graduation
- Summa Cum Laude: 3.9-4.0 cumulative GPA at graduation
