For a rectangle, we multiply length by width in your chosen linear unit, then convert area to square feet and square meters. For a circle, we use the standard πr² formula with radius half of your diameter. Perimeter is 2(L + W) for rectangles and πd for circles, converted to both feet and meters for staking estimates.
Rectangle area = length × widthCircle area = π × (diameter ÷ 2)²Rectangle perimeter = 2 × (length + width); circle = π × diameterMore trip math? Try hiking pack weight and kayak paddle length.
